Hólaneskirkja is a small church situated in the center of Skagaströnd, a small town in North West Iceland. The church was built on October 20th 1991 and holds up to 200 people.
During our time at the Nes Artist Residency we had the opportunity to record a new piece for processed horn, field recordings, organ and live electronics. The field recordings were captured near the ocean, just a short walk from the church. The organ (a permanent fixture in the church) and horn were played acoustically in the space and recorded live.
