Forte Marghera is a historical military fortress in Mestre, 10 km from Venice, IT. We were invited by Live Arts Cultures as artists in residence at the C32 Gallery Space. During our stay we created a sound installation in an abandoned water tower.

In this installation we recorded the soundscape from inside the water tower and then played the recording back inside the space using a speaker cone and transducer. We then re-recorded and re-amplified the recording played back in the space. We repeated this process several times until the resonant frequencies were revealed.
